Elos KH Alkalinity test kit
Alkalinity is a way to quantify the stability of the pH in a solution such as aquarium water. It is a measure of the concentration of various negatively charged ionic compounds (anions) such as carbonates, bicarbonates, borates and hydroxides in the aquarium water.
If there is no intervention and the alkalinity falls below a critical level, then the pH fluctuations will become more and more extreme (a daily pH shift of + / -0,2 is normal in saltwater aquariums) resulting in extra stress for the aquarium inhabitants.
In a marine aquarium the alkalinity should be between 7 ° and 10 ° dKH.
The Elos AquaTest KH makes it possible to quickly determine the buffer capacity of your aquarium water. It is a high quality product that offers high accuracy thanks to various procedures such as: calibrated lab drippers with consistent and a predefined drop size, NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) certified reagent samples and strict stock management ensures that you are reliable test kits at your disposal.
Grading: each drop is equal to 0.5 ° dKH
