The reference system compensates for any drift due to power fluctuations or changes in ambient temperature. With an LED light source, you quickly obtain a stable measurement. A reference detector and a focus lens eliminate any errors caused by the light source or imperfection of the glass cuvette. The relatively long path length of the sample cuvette guarantees accurate measurements, even at low absorbance.
The optical system is sealed from outside dust, dirt and water. The meter uses an exclusive locking system to ensure that the cuvettes are placed in the same position in the holder every time.
CAL Check™
Hanna Instruments’ exclusive CAL Check feature provides performance verification and calibration of the meter according to NIST. Our CAL Check standard cuvettes are designed to simulate a specific absorbance value at that wavelength to verify the accuracy of the measurements. The CAL Check display guides the user step-by-step through the validation process and user calibration.
Help function
The built-in help guides you step by step through the measurement process. It includes all steps required for sample preparation, required reagents and quantities.
Stable light source
The internal reference system of these photometers compensates for any drift due to current fluctuations or changes in ambient temperature. With a stable light source, readings are fast and stable between the blank (zero) reading and sample reading.
Intuitive display
This photometer is designed with an illuminated display with virtual keys, a battery status indicator and error messages. The selected parameter and method used are displayed together with the measured value.
Battery status
These meters use three AA batteries that can take approximately 800 measurements. The meter automatically turns off after 15 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life. An indicator shows the remaining battery life.
