Seachem PhosGuard has a large capacity and is an efficient filtration product for removing phosphates and silicates from seawater or freshwater aquariums.

Phos Guard is pearl-shaped for optimum water flow characteristics and has an exceptional porosity and increased capacity.
Phos Guard has a working capacity to remove 20 to 60 mg / L phosphates from 400 liters of water with a similar impact on silicates. It may be used constantly or with intervals and will not release any removed phosphates to the water.

Every liter of phos guard treats up to 1200 liters of water. Phos Guard’s unique spherical shape prevents clogging and channel formation, thus increasing the flow speed and media efficiency.
