This product is for the ATI Carbo Ex 4 liter REFILLABLE unit or another air intake cylinder. It is for an air filter that is connected to your protein skimmer as a ready-made filter cartridge for a maximum of 95% removal of CO2 and fine particles from the air supply, such as dust and pollen etc.

The CO2-absorbing media change color from white to blue when they are exhausted and on this 4-liter unit for the larger aquarium system, the CO2-absorbing media can be purchased separately in packs.

The removal of CO2 helps to raise and maintain a stable pH value, which is very beneficial for the overall health of your aquarium. It improves the health and growth of corals and is an effective preventive measure to prevent air pollutants from entering the aquarium.

You can reduce algae naturally by using the Carbo Ex or Skim Breeze connected to the air inlet of your aquarium protein skimmer. It removes the CO2 that algae need to grow. Without the CO2, algae cannot photosynthesize and in this way CO2 becomes a limiting factor for all algae (cyano, hair algae, etc.)

If the granulate is completely purple , it must be replaced .
