Calcium Pronto is a fast-dissolving, pure, dry calcium chloride that provides a simple and cost-effective way to swiftly raise the calcium ion concentration in your aquarium.

Supplemental calcium is essential for reef aquariums because corals, clams, snails, tube worms, and calcareous algae absorb calcium carbonate from the water.

To ensure your aquarium’s calcium levels are just right, use a calcium test kit. The calcium concentration should ideally be maintained between 380 and 450 ppm.

Directions: Create a stock solution by dissolving 10 grams (approximately 2 teaspoons) of Calcium Pronto in 8 oz. (250 ml) of purified fresh water. Adding 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of this stock solution to one gallon (3.875 liters) of water will raise the calcium concentration by 12.5 ppm.

Add 5 ml per 37.8 L daily to achieve a calcium concentration of 400 – 450 ppm. After reaching this level, you can adjust your dosing to weekly as needed, or consider using Kalkwasser or C-Balance to maintain both calcium and alkalinity levels. Please note that adding calcium chloride may lower alkalinity, so you might want to adjust alkalinity levels using Two Little Fishies KH Power.
