Tropic Marin Elimi-NP Liquid carbon dosing concentrate for nutrient reduction

The nutrient conditions for the lower animals in your reef aquarium, such as corals and sponges, are best when nitrate and phosphate levels are at their lowest. Tropic Marin® ELIMI-NP is a concentrated organic carbon solution that effectively reduces nitrate and phosphate in reef aquariums by promoting additional biomass growth.

ELIMI-NP is suitable for all saltwater aquariums that have elevated phosphate levels and a low nitrate-to-phosphate ratio, which is often seen in reef setups.

How to use:

For the 50 ml bottle:

Attach the enclosed hose to the syringe and measure the desired amount of ELIMI-NP. Any air that enters the hose and syringe while drawing back will not affect the dosage. The bottom edge of the plunger will always indicate the correct dosing amount, even if the desired quantity of ELIMI-NP is only in the hose and not in the syringe chamber. The air drawn in helps to clear the hose during dosing.

For the 200 ml bottle:

Turn the pump head counterclockwise until it pops out. One press of the pump head dispenses 1 ml.

Dosage: Start with a daily dose of 0.1 ml per 100 liters (26 US gallons) of aquarium volume. After two weeks, you can gradually increase the dosage by 0.1 ml per 100 liters (26 US gallons), while observing your animals and checking nitrate and phosphate concentrations. Administer ELIMI-NP into the pump flow for proper distribution throughout the aquarium.

Maximum dose: Do not exceed a daily dose of 0.5 ml per 100 liters (26 US gallons) of aquarium volume. It is important to reduce phosphate levels slowly in the reef aquarium to prevent adjustment stress on the organisms. Additionally, ensure that the nitrate-to-phosphate ratio does not exceed 10:1.

If your nitrate-to-phosphate ratio is greater than 10:1, we recommend using Tropic Marin® NP-BACTO-BALANCE instead of ELIMI-NP to achieve the best nutrient balance.
