It can be easily injected near the oral disk of the anemone, encouraging the anemone to ingest the material without retreating. Within minutes of consuming Aiptasia-X, the anemone will implode, effectively eliminating both the anemone and its planulas.

The globules of Aiptasia-X do not impact the sessile polyps of corals, allowing for the safe treatment of Aiptasia that may have taken residence within coral colonies. Moreover, any excess Aiptasia-X will decompose over time without causing harm to the reef.
