Aquaforest Magnesium 750g

Aquaforest Magnesium is an effective solution for increasing magnesium levels in your reef aquarium. Magnesium plays a crucial role in the healthy growth of corals. When magnesium levels drop, it can lead to difficulties in maintaining the right calcium levels and can also result in a too low pH. The ideal magnesium concentration for reef aquariums is between 1180-1460 mg/l (ppm).

To prepare the solution, dissolve 10 g in 1000 ml of RODI water. The dosage you need will depend on your water test results and the daily consumption of your corals. Before adding the magnesium solution to your aquarium, it is a good idea to conduct a water test to check the current parameters.

Adding 100 ml of the magnesium solution to 100 l of water will raise the magnesium level by 1.2 mg/l (ppm). Please note that we do not recommend increasing the magnesium level by more than 50 ppm in a single day. To maintain ionic balance in your aquarium, it is advisable to also use KH Buffer and Reef Mineral Salt.

You can mix magnesium with calcium or Reef Mineral Salt into a single solution for convenience. This product contains MgCl2x6H2O.
