Corals need both calcium and carbonates for their growth, which can reduce the concentration of these ions in your aquarium water. BCK Pro makes it simple to boost both calcium and alkalinity in a balanced manner, without increasing other salts.

BCK is a white powder that can be easily added to the sump of your tank. After introducing the powder, you can expect calcium and carbonate levels to rise within a few hours.

For optimal results, it is best to add BCK as a powder directly to your sump. Please note that creating a concentrated solution of BCK can lead to precipitated lime, which results in a loss of soluble calcium and carbonates.

Another great benefit of using BCK Pro is that it encourages the growth of beneficial bacteria. This helps to lower nitrate and phosphate levels in your aquarium. To support this bacterial growth, we recommend ensuring there is sufficient surface movement or using an efficient skimmer to maintain good oxygen levels.

Additionally, BCK Pro contains several trace elements that are essential for coral growth. However, you will still need to add Strontium, Iodide, and Manganese, as these elements are depleted from the aquarium water faster than they are replenished with BCK Pro.
