Preparation of the plankton culture:

Please place the culture preparation into the reactor and fill it up with salt water. Then, add the recommended quantity of PhytoFood. You will notice the reactor filling showing its initial color after a few days. Regularly withdrawing plankton and refilling the nutrient solution will help extend the lifespan of the culture.

Once you have established a healthy Phytoplankton culture, it is a good idea to store a small quantity in a tightly closed container and place it in the refrigerator. This portion can be used to prepare a new culture in case the reactor culture experiences any issues. Again, regularly withdrawing plankton and refilling the nutrient solution will help prolong the culture’s viability. Store in the refrigerator at 4-10°C!
