Reef Zlements Mg Magnesium is a premium-grade magnesium supplement formulated to maintain optimal magnesium levels in reef aquariums. Magnesium (Mg) is the third most abundant ion in seawater after sodium and chloride, typically found at concentrations of around 1,350 mg/L.

Magnesium is a vital ion involved in numerous biological, chemical, and ecological functions. It stabilises the carbonate system in seawater, aids in coral calcification, and supports healthy biological activity in reef ecosystems. Proper magnesium levels help maintain balanced calcium and alkalinity concentrations, which are essential for overall coral health.

According to Reef Zlements’ mixing classification, Magnesium is considered a Type C element, contributing to long-term reef chemistry balance and coral resilience.

Dosage: Add 10 ml of Magnesium Zlement per 100 litres of aquarium water to increase the magnesium concentration by 10 mg/L. Always test water parameters before and after dosing and adjust accordingly.
