Seachem StressGuard 100ml will reduce stress and ammonia toxicity whenever handling or transporting fish
StressGuard™ is your go-to solution for premium slime coat protection. It effectively reduces stress and ammonia toxicity during the handling or transportation of fish. StressGuard™ binds to exposed proteins in wounds, promoting healing and minimizing the chances of both primary and secondary infections. It is compatible with all medications, except for those that contain copper. Additionally, StressGuard™ is not amine based, meaning it will not interfere with the regeneration of Purigen® or HyperSorb™. Unlike other competing products, StressGuard™ does not coat resins or clog filtration systems.
Why It Is Different
What sets StressGuard™ apart is its unique formulation that includes protein active colloids. These colloids actively target wounds, abrasions, or any areas with exposed proteins, allowing the disinfectant in the product to be delivered directly to the affected area, kickstarting the healing process. The protein active colloid also serves as a liquid bandage for abrasions. Many products on the market suggest being squirted in the bag when purchasing a fish, but these often contain acidic ingredients that can be harmful when introduced into a small, enclosed environment. In contrast, StressGuard™ has a neutral pH of 7.0, ensuring it will not affect the pH of your aquarium, even at larger doses. There simply are no other products available that can match the effectiveness of StressGuard™.
Directions
For best results, use 1/2 to 1 capful (2.5 to 5 mL) for every 40 L (10 gallons) daily until you notice signs of stress diminishing or healing is complete. It is safe to double the dose if needed.
