Even though it is easy to overlook fixed plankton filter feeders, sponges, soft corals, and leather corals actually meet part of their food needs through phytoplankton. Natural phytoplankton serves as a crucial source of energy and nutrients for leather and soft corals, bivalves, and other fine particle filter feeders. In nature, large volumes of water flow through the reef, delivering phytoplankton to the corals. In a reef aquarium, this energy supply needs to be replaced in a manner that closely resembles nature, ensuring that sufficient nutrients are available for movement and metabolic processes.

By activating the microflora, a variety of vitamins and other vital substances are naturally introduced into the water. This helps corals and bivalves open more effectively, showcasing their vibrant colors. Fish also benefit from the stable bacterial flora and the prebiotic effect, leading to robust development and vibrant coloration.

Tropic Marin Phyton is a well-balanced plankton replacement for all fine particle filter feeders in the seawater aquarium. A high-quality algae mixture supplies the animals with trace elements and energy-rich carbohydrates, in a form that is only found in seawater. Spirulina, one of the ingredients, is rich in carotenoids, and combined with brewer’s yeast, it fulfills the requirement for natural B group vitamins, particularly vitamin B12.

Ingredients: algae, brewer’s yeast, spirulina, shrimps, and shrimp by-products. Additives: cellulose 10%, betaine 25 g/kg, vitamin B12 100 mg/kg.

Application & Dosage

Add one measuring scoop of Tropic Marin Phyton for every 200 to 500 liters of aquarium volume, twice a day. To do this, first stir the appropriate quantity of Tropic Marin® Phyton into some aquarium water in a mug and allow it to soften for a short time. Gradually add the prepared food to the aquarium water so that it can be consumed by the animals.

Store in a cool, dry place. Not suitable for human consumption.
