Tunze Care Magnet Strong easily removes algae from the aquarium glass

The Tunze Care Magnet Strong comes with two plastic blades, one stainless steel blade, and one care booster (float device). It is designed for glass thickness of 15-20mm, with a width of 86 mm and a length of 140 mm.

Why care? This glass cleaner is fantastic for avoiding scratches on the internal panes of your aquarium. You can even use the small plastic blade on acrylic glass panes without worry. The inner magnet is positioned more than 3 mm (0.2 inches) away from the aquarium, which prevents the jamming of aquarium sand.

The two plastic blades work significantly better at removing algae from the glass compared to a flat cleaning surface, almost as efficiently as a sharp metal blade. You can expect the life of a blade to last from several months up to about one year. The low flow resistance during cleaning, paired with a high magnetic coupling, makes it nearly impossible to separate the magnet.

The larger blade should only be modified with the included stainless steel blade for tackling particularly stubborn algae, such as older deposits on the side walls or thick calcareous algae.
