Maxspect Nano Tech Clear Cube 8 pcs Breaks down dissolved organic matter (DOM), removing the yellow color in an aquarium
Clarifies aquarium water without the mess
The Maxspect Nano-Tech Clear Cube is a unique tourmaline-based brick designed to break down dissolved organic matter (DOM) in aquarium water. It achieves this through the dissolution and dissociation of water, keeping your aquarium water clearer for a longer time compared to traditional granular activated carbon.
Features
- Breaks down dissolved organic matter (DOM), effectively removing the yellow color in your aquarium.
- Long-lasting effect, ensuring your water stays crystal clear for an extended period.
- Helps combat cyanobacteria and other nuisance bacteria and fungi in your aquarium.
8 pcs for freshwater and marine aquariums. Treats up to 400L / 100 Gal.
The Nano-Tech Clear Cube is a tourmaline-based solution that offers exceptional water clarification capabilities. By dissolving and dissociating water, it breaks down DOM and keeps your aquarium water clear for a significant duration.

The Clear Cube does not function as an absorbent like granular activated carbon; instead, it clarifies water by breaking down dissolved organic matter (DOM) and removing the yellowish tint from the water column.
Since the Clear Cube is not an absorbent that saturates quickly, it provides a long-lasting effect, helping to maintain crystal clear aquarium water for a longer time.
Product Information
1. Increases the ability to dissolve water. The tourmaline generates electric charges that enhance the overall reaction:
6(H2O) + O2 + DOM → 8(H+) + 4(OH–) + 4(O2-) + DOM → 4(H2O) + 4(OH–) + DOM
The first arrow illustrates the natural dissociation of water, while the second shows the effect of excess electric charges generated by the tourmaline, which helps the DOM bind to the OH– ions, shifting the balance to the right.
2. Simple dissociation of water. The electric charges generated by the tourmaline contribute to this reaction:
3(H2O) + DOM → 2(H2O) + (H+) + (OH–) + DOM → (H3O+) + DOM + (H3O2–) → (H3O+ + DOM) + (H3O2– +DOM)
The first arrow indicates the natural dissociation of water, while the second shows the effect of excess electric charges generated by the tourmaline, which push the ions H3O+ and H3O2– towards binding with DOM, constantly shifting the equilibrium.
3. Direct electrostatic effect. DOM is influenced by electrostatic forces depending on its nature. The electric charges from the tourmaline likely exceed these forces, causing the DOM to lose its structural integrity and break down.
4. Very low energy activities. The weak energy emitted from tourmaline (4+14 μm) can break down water clusters. Average water consists of clusters of 36-38 molecules, while water processed through tourmaline results in only 3-6 molecules. This process allows for gas and heavy metals trapped in clusters to be released, significantly purifying the water.
5. Anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. The tourmaline content, combined with water ionization, offers anti-fungal and anti-bacterial benefits.
