This product, along with our B, C, and D options, offers the essential ingredients you need to enhance your aquarium water with the calcium, magnesium, and carbonate necessary for healthy calcification. With these components, you can create a balanced and stable environment that supports successful marine fish and coral keeping.
You can use the components individually or in combination, utilizing either the Balling or Balling light method. They are straightforward to use and we recommend adding them with a dosing pump for best results.
ICP Xtra A
Sodium hydrogen carbonate (NaHCO3) serves to increase the carbonate hardness in marine aquariums.
Use as a single component:
For every 100 litres of aquarium water, add 3 g of sodium hydrogen carbonate to raise the carbonate hardness by approximately 1° dKH.
Use as a balling component:
Before use, it is essential to prepare a liquid solution with osmosis water. The maximum solubility at 20 °C is about 93 g of sodium hydrogen carbonate per 1 litre of osmosis water.
