Apex Automatic Feeding System you can use the Apex to plan when feeding your fish with small amounts of food
With the Apex Automatic Feeding System AFS, you can use the Apex to plan when feeding your fish with small amounts of food, as often as you want throughout the day. You can even feed or not feed on certain days and measure the water quality using ORP, eg by not feeding when the ORP value is too low.
The most obvious benefit of the AFS is that your fish can be fed while you are away.
Feed pellet, flake, or better still our Crossover Diet
Of course, the AFS is designed to feed almost any pellet or flake food. But the ideal food for the AFS is the Crossover Diet pellet food from Neptunes Systems.
We have worked closely with Reed Mariculture (the manufacturer of Reef Nutrition foods) to come up with an exclusive new food based on their TDO Chroma Boost. A micro-film coral food is applied to the surface of each pellet during production. When these pellets are provided by the AFS, spread this micro-coral food on contact with the water and then the pellets sink. The AFS together with our Crossover Diet pellets are the all-in-one nutrient solution for your aquarium.
Stay-dry system prevents caking and clumping
A common problem for most aquarium autofeeders is moisture in the food, causing it to clot and become clogged. The AFS has a motorized food dosing system that automatically expands and slides in each dosage. The food container has a built-in seal which keeps the moisture out as soon as it is retracted.
