Grotech Basic set Mineral Set bestaat uit 1x Dose Carbonat- 1000gr, Calcium 750gr, Mineral pro instant 1000gr

Application of the Balling system with Grotech carbonate, calcium, mineral and magnesium pro instant.

The Grotech Balling System covers, when used correctly, the needs of your marine water aquarium of the macro element carbonate, calcium, magnesium.
It is therefore not necessary to use a calcium reactor.
The Grotech Balling System, consisting of Grotech Carbonate-, Calcium-, Mineral-, and Magnesium pro instant, covers, when used correctly, the complete requirement of carbonate hardness, as well as the macro elements calcium and magnesium of your marine water aquarium.
These are removed from the aquarium water by healthy coral growth and must be constantly and permanently added back to the water in the right amount.

Procedure:

• Check your kH value over several days and determine the daily consumption of your aquarium.
• Calculate the amount of carbonate to be dosed per instant Balling solution.
• We have provided you with a free calculator for this purpose at https://www.calculator.Grotech.de.
• Dose this amount over several days and check if the addition is sufficient to keep the kH-value stable in your reef aquarium. The desired kH-value should be between °dkH 7 and °dkH 10.
• At the same time, the Calcium and Mineral pro instant balling solutions should be dosed in the same amount as the carbonate per instant balling solution.
• If necessary, correct the amount to be dosed daily.

Usually the consumption of Carbonate, Calcium and Mineral pro instant Balling solutions is the same. This means that the 3 solutions are to be dosed in equal parts, as the calculated consumption of the kH solution.

Ideally, the dosing quantity should be distributed in smaller portions throughout the day. GROTECH dosing pumps are ideally suited for this. However, this should be checked from time to time and if necessary the quantities of the individual solutions should be adjusted.

The Mineral pro instant Balling solution contains a high magnesium content and normally covers the magnesium consumption in the aquarium. At the same time, the water change interval can be extended when using Mineral pro instant.

Since an ion shift is compensated by Mineral pro instant. If a magnesium deficit is detected nevertheless, a solution of the 4th component Magnesium pro instant can be prepared and dosed separately according to the requirements.

Mineral pro instant 1000gr

Sodium chloride free marine salt /  Mineral salt for reverse osmosis water
Marine salt contains about 78% common salt (NaCL2) as its main component.
Hardening by the balling method produces not only calcium but also a large amount of common salt.
This results in an accumulation of common salt in the seawater aquarium.
The addition of mineral pro instant compensates for this and ensures a balanced ion balance.

Mixing of a Balling-basic solution:
Fill 25g Mineral pro instant in a measuring cap and add osmosis water up to 1000ml.
The Balling stock solutions of Carbonat- , Calcium- , Magnesium- and Mineral pro instant must be dosed in equal parts separately from each other !

Due to its high magnesium, mineral and trace element content, Mineral pro instant is of course also suitable for the hardening and mineralisation of fresh water, as well as for the remineralisation of osmosis water.
The addition of 1 tablespoon of mineral per 10 litres of osmosis water remineralises the water, i.e. the vital minerals and trace elements are returned to the demineralised water.

Calcium pro instant 750g

In the marine water aquarium, great quantities of Calcium and Magnesium are required.
Calcium pro instant is a ready to use calcium mixture.
It either could be used to mix a basic solution or added directly into the aquarium.

Mixing of a Balling-basic solution:
Fill 54 g Calcium pro instant in a measuring cap and add osmosis water up to 1000ml.
The Balling stock solutions of Carbonat- , Calcium- , Magnesium- and Mineral pro instant must be dosed in equal parts separately from each other !

Mixing of a basic solution:
Fill 750g Calcium pro instant in a measuring cap and add osmosis water up to 2000ml.
This solution contains 135.000 mg/ Liter Calcium (Ca).
By adding of 7,4 ml of this basic solution the Ca-content will raise approx. by 10 mg per 100 liter aquarium water.

Attention !
During dissolving the solution will get very hot. Please use a suitable plastic container.

Direct dosing:
1 measuring spoon (abt. 6,5g) results in an increase of the calcium content by abt. 24mg /l per 100 liter aquarium water.
In case of larger deviations, the quantity should be increased over a period of numerous days. Please dose directly into the filter bassin at a well- floated area.

When using Calcium pro instant in the aquarium, please check regularly the Calcium contents of the aquarium water. The optimum value is at abt. bei 380-450mg/l.

Carbonat pro instant 1000g

Immediately available carbonate hardness + pH buffer
In the marine water aquarium, the stability of the pH-value is of utmost importance. Carbonat pro instant is a special buffer and carbonate hardness (kH) builder, which takes care that the pH-value in the marine water aquarium will be stabilized at a value between 8,0 and 8,3 and replaces carbonate hardness, which has been consumed due to precipitation and biological
catabolic processes. Carbonatpro Instant thus protects against dangerous deviations of the pH-value.
In the reef aquarium the optimum value is at abt. 7 –  10° kH.

Carbonat pro instant is a special buffer and carbonate hardness (kH) builder for easy and quick increase of the carbonate hardness.
It either could be used to mix a basic solution or added directly into the aquarium.

Mixing of a Balling-basic solution:
Fill 84g Carbonat pro instant in a measuring cap and add osmosis water up to 1000ml.
The Balling stock solutions of Carbonat- , Calcium- , Magnesium- and Mineral pro instant must be dosed in equal parts separately from each other !

Mixing of a basic solution:
Fill 168 g Carbonat pro instant in a measuring cap and add osmosis water up to 2000ml.
By adding of 36 ml of this basic solution the kH-content will raise approx. by 1°dKH per 100 liter aquarium water.

Direct dosing:
1 measuring spoon (abt. 9g) results in an increase of the carbonate hardness of abt. 3°dKH /l per 100 liter aquarium water.
In case of larger deviations, the quantity should be increased over a period of numerous days. Please dose directly into the filter bassin at a well- floated area.
