Neptune Systems Trident DIY Service Kit
The DIY Service Kit is an option that is great for our customers that would like to complete the recommended service on their own. This is only for a most hand-on customers that consider themselves “mechanically inclined,” and can follow direction well.
Note: The DIY Service Kit should only be selected if your Trident is in good, working-order. The DIY Service Kit will not typically make a non working Trident work.
Why and When should I service my Trident?
We said at the Trident product launch, “We recommend that the Trident have a routine service of a small number of its parts in the window of 18-24 months. And, while we will have a kit available for customers to do this maintenance themselves, we strongly suggest that the Trident be sent in to our service center to have this performed.”
We had some idea what those parts would be but didn’t know for sure until Tridents had been operating out in the field over an extended period of time. Further to that, we had an estimate of when parts would need to be replaced, but could only take our best guess of what we knew then.
Fast forward almost two years and we now have a much better idea of what is needed to be serviced, but more importantly, when those items need to serviced.
We recommend, but not require, that your Neptune Systems Trident receive a preventative service between 24-36 months of operation.
It’s possible some Tridents will need to be serviced before this recommended service interval, but that would be the exception not common place.
The complete service includes:
-
Replacement Peristaltic Pump Head
One of the most important components of a well operating Trident is pump head. This is how the Trident remains precise so keeping this head new and in good condition is a big priority.
-
Cuvette and Tubing
The cuvette is where the color titration happens to determine your parameter levels. Over time it will become stained, dirty and discolored.
-
Internal Tubing Assembly
There is some internal tubing in Trident that can get worn-out over time. We replace this with new tubing to allow for continued operation of the Trident.
-
Trident Sample Line Filter
Optional: For a Trident used in a system with heavy degrees of particulate matter in the water column, a sample line filter can be installed to help prevent clogs and blockages
-
Sample & Waste Line plus connectors
The external sample and waste line over time can become clogged after extended use. The fresh sample and waste line will help prevent that from happening. We have also included fresh connectors to also minimize clogging.
