Sicce SCUBA CTL Submersible Heater the easiest and most immediate way to set the temperature of the aquarium heater
Cutting-Edge Aquarium Heater Technology
- Built-in NFC Technology (no manual adjustment knob, only adjustable by a phone with NFC activated)
- Shatter-Resistant Glass
- On/Off Indicator Light
Sicce is elevating the aquarium heater game with their Scuba Contactless heaters. They feature patented “contactless” temperature control, allowing for effortless adjustments and temperature checks via the free ContrAll app. Temperature can be adjusted from 15°C to 35°C with a precision tolerance of just ± 1°C.
On top of that, an energy-saving mode can be activated in the app which will maintain a stable temperature with half the energy consumption once the set temperature has been reached.

Note the lack of a control knob, and it is the first aquarium heater ever to incorporate Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, which means you can connect the heater to your phone by simply holding it next to the device. Just as you would pay for something with your phone in a restaurant or shop by holding it over a terminal and tapping to pay, you hold your phone within 2″ of the heater and tap to connect.
Hold your phone within two centimetres of the Scuba Contactless and it will connect to Sicce’s growing CONTRALL ecosystem app, even if the heater hasn’t been plugged in yet. From there you can adjust the temperature. If you’re an existing Sicce SDC user, you’ll find that your Sicce Return Pump or Wave Pump also reads the temperature of the water, but connect a Scuba Contactless to the app and all three can then be calibrated so that they are in sync with each other, and will also give you global updates and notifications on the temperature of the water in your fresh or salt water tank.
With NFC, you can change the temperature in a number of ways: Firstly, you can do it through the glass if your phone’s NFC chip is placed in a certain area of the phone. However, Sicce says that not all phones can do this. Secondly, you can raise the heating slightly to the water line and hold your phone next to it and tap, or if you have a waterproof phone, you can even hold your phone next to the device and tap underwater! Note that this is NFC, not Wi-Fi, as Wi-Fi is blocked by water.
