We recommend replacing the pre-filter and the carbon filter at least once a year.
Replace the DI filter when the TDS value increases. Would maintain a max TDS value of 6ppm, changing earlier is of course always good.
Some DI filter cartridges can be opened , so it is cheaper to buy loose DI-resin instead of a whole cartridge.
A membrane is not ready to be changed until the DI resin is quickly saturated. The DI resin tries to absorb as many substances as possible, which allow the membrane to pass through.
If in doubt, measure the TDS value of the clean water coming out of the membrane before it is filtered through the DI resin
