The Energy Bar for the APEX Neptune Systems- with EU power sockets SCHUKO
Much more than just a Power Strip!
The Energy Bars available for Apex systems are much more than a 6-port power strip. In fact, this part of your aquarium controller is much more important than most people realize – and not all systems are the same!
The APEX controller controls the energy bar sockets.
The supplied Energy Bar has 6 sockets, each output can max 8A 240V. There is a fuse on the Energy bar which, in case of too high a load, protects the rest of the connected equipment by making everything stress-free.
Current Sensing Device
The Energy Bars provide information about the current power consumption to the Apex controller. This is incredibly useful information for a number of reasons. First of all, you can see what the total energy consumption is on an Energy Bar, so that you can better spread the load across multiple Energy Bars. Also by having this function you can accurately monitor the consumption of your aquarium (lighting, pumps, skimmer, etc.).
Soft-start extends the life of pumps
Power failure Detection, Communication Error Protection and Pre-programmed Failsafe State
Each Energy Bar can be configured to go into both an ‘OFF’ or ‘ON’ position if the power would fail and switch on again or if there is no communication with the Apex base station.
You can program your main pump to always go to the ‘ON’ position in the event of a malfunction.
This feature is very important as many other controllers on the market leave the socket in its last position or possibly switch everything off or on. This also applies if communication with the base unit is lost as a result of a system error, software bug, communication problem, lightning strike, etc.
An extra advanced feature is that when you connect an extra Energy Bar to a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and it will automatically go into Failsafe State as soon as the power fails, so that the connected devices can still function for some time.
